My Guardian Angel
By Christy Williams
I feel more peace knowing that you don't
know what pain is anymore.
Sometimes, when I look up at the stars,
I catch a glimpse of your smile.
I believe that God let you be my guardian
angel since you can't be with me here.
I know this because when I feel I'm about to
give up and I need you the most, you
speak to my heart.
You visit me in my dreams now and you
always leave a little bit of heaven behind.
I feel you.
When we remember your smile,
It brightens our day,
And thoughts of your warmth and love,
Seem to smooth the way,
Your gentle spirit is still with us,
Though you are gone,
Sunny days, cool breezes,
Always for you, Mom.
His life is a beautiful memory,
His death is a silent grief;
He sleeps in God's beautiful garden,
In sunshine of perfect peace,
I miss him oh so much,
But realize God knew best,
He let me have him many years,
Then gently bid him rest.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name,
But all we have are memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your resting place we visit,
And put flowers there with care,
But no one knows the heartache,
As we turn and leave you there.
Gone yet not forgotten,
Although we are apart,
Your spirit lives within me,
Forever in my heart.
Love here on earth
Love beyond the grave
There are no roads
My love for you can’t pave.
Time is too slow for those that wait,
Too swift for those that fear,
Too long for those that grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
But for those who love, time is Eternity.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
He is not lost our dearest love,
Nor has he travelled far,
Just stepped inside home's loveliest room
And left the door ajar.
